Gus Dapperton by our photography editor, Bi Ndiforchu
I can’t help it. I spend my hard earned money to wait hours in line to see my favorite artist perform for less than an hour. The funny thing, is I don't mind. Concerts are a time when I can meet new people, (as corny as it is) create a few memories, and take some cool pictures. Capturing artists as they are performing is the most beautiful thing one can ever do. They are in such a pure state and their energy only radiates throughout the crowd. Although taking photographs while an artist is performing is a huge struggle (especially in the pit), you can occasionally produce many great images when you're not even trying.
