How It All Started

I began to take photography seriously after one notable summer adventure. My sister and I journeyed to Venice, an overpopulated, funky beach town located in Los Angeles. I captured the silhouettes of the people of Venice as they all took in the last moments of sunlight. The contrast between darkness and light in the silhouette photos accentuated the movements of the people. Also, the juxtaposition of the sky and cloud patterns against the silhouettes portrayed a strong visual message.

The authenticity of the experience left me in deep admiration and respect for photographers. I learned that the skills required to execute masterpieces are gained through experimentation and consistency. So to grow as a photographer, I dedicated time to learn more about the art.
